30th May - Julie

This is our last night in Broome and we have certainly chilled out. Tomorrow we leave for Kununarra via a stop over at Mary's Pool. We all agree Broome would be a great place to return of course after we win lotto! We can stayat one of the luxury resorts with hot and cold running water and toilets.

Keith took us all down to the beach in the rodeo.

The morning sun glistening on the beach.

This was a yucky cat fish that went back for croc bait.

This was an adventure that I could of done without. Brian decided to go to some famous fishing spot that was suppossed to be good fishing. This was as far as we could go after 15 kms down a rough corrugated track. It was crocodile country with warnings not to go near the waters edge etc. But it was fun catching the cat fish

Typical!

Broome 28th May - Julie

Well we left Point Samson on Tuesday and stopped over at Sandfire Resort, Ha Ha and arrived in beautiful Broome today. After we set up camp we went down to amazing Cable Beach. What a fantastic place. We walked for miles and ended the day watching a spectacular sunset.

Cheers
Julie

Port Samson, a paradise

Mal believe it or not there is a Buz under this

No dogs allowed on the bed!

Believe it or not there is a bus under here
(Buz Mal)

The cake that Andrea baked.

Have I got some great photos to show you all.

This place is amasing, we have our own private beach right in front of us. We swim and run our dogs when ever we feel lik it. Brian and I did some jump training early this morning right besidethe beach before it got too hot. Andrea.

This is at Cossack. The locals assured us that the croc had been caught and released up north before Brian went down to the shore to fish.

Hi everyone, Port Samson is our favourite place so far. Brian and I visited Cossack a little pioneer village near by and stocked up on supplies at Wickam. Brian threw a line in here and there and manage to catch a black brim for tea. Julie

Coral Bay 24th May 08 - Julie

Had a lovely day with water activities. Took the dogs down to the beach. They had a great time racing each other, swimming and getting dumped.

In the afternoon we did the glass bottom boat tour of the coral and hand feeding the fish. It was very enjoyable. We finished off the night with greasy fish and chips.

Carnarvon Thursday 22nd May Andrea calling

It is me again, no training today, swam the girls and gave them a really good run and stretch out.
I don't know, the day just seems to go by so fast, Carnarvon is very laid back, not my cup of tea.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour of a banana plantation today, wouldn't be a farmer her for anything, hard, hard work for little return.
We leave for Coral Bay in the morning, I plan to do some obedience training before I leave.

Take care,

Hugs

Monkey Mia and Denham

21st May by Andrea

Hi All,
Do you miss me yet????

Arrived in Carnarvon an hour ago, all is well with humans and dog's.
Early this morning Keith and Julie went and fed the dolphins while Brian and I took Eviy, Oskar, Smudge, and Spice down to the green flat oval to do some jump training (pull throughs)
The Dolphin feeding was fantastic, very pretty spot Monkey Mia.
It is just one long straight road as far as the eye can see from Denham to Carnarvon.

Tuesday 20th May 2008 - by Julie Cowling

Hi everyone,

In case you dont know the Cowlings and Patchings have just started off on their trip around Australia by road. On Friday the 16th Keith and Andrea took off in their Rodeo Ute towing a brand new Jayco 20' caravan to Geraldton for the weekend. Andrea with her two New Zealand Heading dogs Smudge and Spice competed in the Geraldton trials Saturday and Sunday doing very well indeed. Brian and Julie finally left for Geraldton on Sunday in a Toyota Hi Ace van towing their brand new camper trailer with their two Border Collies Oscar and Evie. The Cowlings didn't quite make it to the Trials as Brian was still building the trailer right up to 5 minutes before departure. He still hasn't finished it!

Thanks to Glem and Jackie of Geraldton for your hospitality on Sunday night it was a great way to start off the holdiay. A few shots of wiskey and some laughs did the trick. Thanks to our Doggie friends for the send off.

We arrived in Denham yesterday a pretty little seaside town just south of Monkey Mia. Its a magncifent day the sky and ocean very blue. Andrea and Brian have gone off to the local park to excerise the dogs and later we are going to check out Monkey Mia, enjoy a nice cappacinco and buy some fresh fish for tea. (I know we should be catching it but we dont have any bait) giggle.

Well that was our first attempt at blogging. Hope you are not too bored. We should get more creative along the way.

Bye for now
